Who We Are
Westerly Housing Authority was created by the Town of Westerly, Rhode Island, in 1966 by enabling legislation.
The Board of Commissioners are appointed for 5 year terms by the Westerly Town Council. The Housing Authority is a separate entity, governed by a 5 member Board of Commissioners. The Commissioners' regular monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month starting at 6pm. The meeting location alternates between the Park View and Chestnut Court community centers.

Our Properties
Park View Apartments
The first tenants were housed in the Park View Apartments facility in 1969. This facility was newly constructed by the Rocky Marciano Construction Company.
Park View contains sixty 1 bedroom apartments and has a self-standing Community Center.
Chestnut Court
Chestnut Court was constructed in 1984 and contains fifty units. 10% of these units are 2 bedroom handi-cap apartments, the remaining forty-five units are 1 bedroom apartments. There is a community center within this building. This complex also has an administrative office building.
Family Scattered Site Units
Westerly Housing Authority also has 13 family scattered site units. The units consist of one 3-bedroom home, 6 duplexes, two 3 bedroom apartments and ten 2 bedroom apartments.
